MY APPROACH

Cognitive Behavorial Therapy
CBT focuses on the interconnectedness of thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions. It breaks overwhelming problems into smaller parts that are easier to deal with. CBT focuses on current problems and patterns of behaviour.

Person-Centred Care
Person-Centred Care involves providing personalised care that is collaborative and coordinated. The client's specific needs, their values, beliefs and personal preferences guide all counselling decisions and goal setting.

Trauma-Informed Care
Trauma-informed care seeks to understand the impact of past experiences and respond in ways that promote safety, empowerment, and healing. Rather than asking “What’s wrong with you?”, it asks “What happened to you?” to rebuild a sense of safety, control, and connection.

Mindfulness Based Care
Mindfulness Based Approaches encourage the client to consciously pay attention to their present thoughts, feelings and physical sensations. It involves observing your experience, breathings techniques, and other meditative practices.
